Home-brew Compact 6dBi Collinear Antenna

This page details the construction of an easy-to-make collinear 360 degrees omni-directional, vertically polarized, antenna for 802.11b/g wireless networking. The antenna is very robust and compact, and has a gain of approximately 5-6dBi.

How-To: Build a WiFi bi-quad dish antenna
Picture
 found this great "How to" article that show how to
modify an old Direct TV dish and make a great 2.4 ghz beam for Wi-fi or a MESH NET system.

My Home Built 8db Collinear antenna
from the above plans!

using #14 copper wire,
20 inches of 1/2" SCH200 PVC,
a Bulkhead panel mount "N" coupling,
1 cap, 1 coupling, and 1 "blind end" plug,
my cost was around $5
