Alan Pearson - KB6DMZ                      1948-2024

Picture
It is with a heavy heart to inform you that Alan Pearson, KB6DMZ, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024.  Alan’s devoted service to Moreno Valley community and amateur radio emergency communications was unsurpassed since 1986.

He once served as President of the Moreno Valley Amateur Radio Association; the first ARES District Emergency Coordinator of Western Riverside County and N/West Riverside County; Moreno Valley RACES Emergency Coordinator and Red Cross amateur radio communications team. And he served as liaison with inland empire emergency preparedness organizations. Other accomplishments included the unification of regional amateur radio organizations, standardizing forms and reporting procedures and training.

Alan and Marilyn moved to Rio Vista CA five years ago to be closer to their family in the Bay area.

Alan is survived by wife Marilyn, son Matt; daughter Kim and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 20, 2024 at the Fernwood Funeral Home, Mill Valley, CA

Our Sincere Condolences, Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Pearson family.

We give our eternal thanks to Alan Pearson, KB6DMZ, for his incredible devotion and participation in Amateur Radio and the Moreno Valley Amateur Radio group.  Alan worked tirelessly in amateur radio.  If memory serves me, he was a past MVARA president and served as the groups emergency coordinator for many years.
Thank you for touching our lives in ways you may never have known.
Goodbye, dear friend.

Best Regards,
Glen Johnsen-KA6GMA
