*** A MVARA Parks on the Air Event - POTA ***
Join us for POTA
Parks on The Air Saturday August 27th @ 9am - 2pm Let's get together and activate a POTA for Parks on the Air. We will show beginners the ropes on activating and hunting for POTA credit. We will let seasoned veterans show off their POTA setups and work the pileups. We will even fit in a BBQ and socialize about all things ham radio. PROGRESSIVE . . . with knowledge abreast of science, well-built and efficient station and operation above reproach.
FRIENDLY . . . slow and patient operating when requested; friendly advice and counsel to the beginner, kindly assistance, cooperation and consideration for the interests of others. These are the hallmarks of the amateur spirit.
BALANCED . . . Radio is an avocation, never interfering with duties owed to his family, job, school or community.
PATRIOTIC . . . station and skill always ready for the service to country and community.
