MVARA Meeting: January 5th, 2023
Dave O'Keefe K6JY was recognized at the January MVARA club meeting for his very generous donation of a Yaesu FT-920 HF radio, Force 12 multi-band antenna and the 50' mast that stands proud behind the March Field Air Musem Radio Room. It was long overdue, but we were finally able to present to him a nice wall plaque for his home radio room and another plaque that was placed at the base of the antenna mast. Thanks Dave...we really apricate all that you have done to get a station on the air for the club members. 
MVARA Christmas Party: December 1st, 2022

Susan Stanley K6ZPL was awarded an Outstanding Service Award at the 2022 MVARA Christmas Party. Anyone that knows Susan knows she is always willing to lend a hand, roll up her sleeves and get to work doing whatever she can to make our club a more enjoyable experience for all. Her smile will warm up any room and her positive energy is downright infectious...she makes friends everywhere she goes. I am sure that most new members can say that Sussan was the first person to come up to them and say hello at any club event. She has been a real asset to Moreno Valley ARA and to the March Field Air Museum Radio Room...we are going to miss seeing her each week...but she has promised not to stay away too long. MVARA wishes Susan all the best in her new endeavors!

The first order of new business was a special presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation and a dual desk clock to Alan Pearson in recognition of over 30 years of support of the MVARA.   Alan expressed surprise and appreciation, and noted that it was fitting that Larry Marcum was participating in the meeting via video conference because Larry recruited Alan to join the Club in 1986.
