The following “Recollections of Robin” were provided by Robin’s lifelong friend Ron Collings ( WB6ZEI ) in memorium:
Robin and I first met working at WEISER lock company in South Gate on Otis Street in the late 1960's. We used to be on several ANALOG and DIGITAL California repeater links, and most of our contacts were on the CARLA link system. Once in a while we contacted each other on Echo Link which was a lot of fun, and we also got on D-Star and DMR. I tried for years to get Robin to upgrade to General Class but he was content to enjoy his hobby and his Technician privileges. We traveled the whole 48 United States on our Honda 750 motorcycles. Robin road his 750cc\ Honda CB-750/K2, I road my 750cc\ Honda CB-750/K1, Until I got my Honda Gold Wing in 1975. I still have a 1976 photo of Robin and me with my new Honda Gold Wing 1000 cc under the glass top of my desk in my radio room. Over the years I visited him and his wonderful wife Sue on many-many occasions from up here in Davis, CA.

Robin was a great guy and an asset to our club. He really supported the MVARA and was one of the first Amateurs to install a MESH NET Node at his QTH and helped us get it going.
He was a True "Ham Radio Guy" and will be sorely missed.
